Creative Women’s Circle – Saturday 11 July with Dearne Herrenberg

The next Creative Women’s Circle event will be…

    Saturday 11 July
    10am – 12 midday
    Guildford Lane Gallery
    20 Guildford Lane, Melbourne CBD

Our speaker this time will be interior designer, jeweller, and the founder of the CWC – Dearne Herrenberg!

Trained in interior design and built environment, Dearne runs her own Interior Design practice in Melbourne, specialising in high end residential, retail and hospitality work. Her folio is quite inspiring and she has been featured in a number of shelter publications over the years!

In additoin, in 2004 Dearne established Mainichi and began to put into practice her passion for fine arts, crafts and textile arts by making jewellery using unusual materials. ‘Mainichi’ translates from Japanese as “everyday”, and her jewellery collection consists of pieces that have been wholly designed and created by Dearne from recycled, found or vintage materials, which means that each piece is truly a unique object. Many retail outlets across Australia, including Craft Victoria, stock her brooches, necklaces and other accessories. She also sells on Etsy!

Dearne will talk about her work in both interior and jewellery design disciplines, the inspirations behind her creations, the evolution and success of Mainichi, and how she balances her creative pursuits with a young son in tow!

Please RSVP and we look forward to seeing you there!
