She is active in debates and lectures in Australia and overseas on sustainability, eco-graphic design and values-based Marketing and communication. Monique was also behind the recent Gertrude St Projection Festival, presented by the non-for-profit Gertrude St Association, which she co-founded.

Jessie Fairweather began Foundry upon her return to Australia (from working as a designer for Fabrica in Italy and Studio Dumbar in Holland) wanting to create clever, useful, and positive design products. Foundry, based in Daylesford, is a graphic design studio working across commercial, cultural, and independent practice. You may recognise items from Foundry's innovative range of paper products - such as Measure and Tangent - that have been popping up at design markets around Melbourne over the last 12 months, or from their exhibition as part of the 2009 State of Design festival, Today Tomorrow.

Both Monique and Jessie will talk about starting and evolving their businesses, and the pros, cons, highlights and challenges of championing a positive design cause on the world stage.
