CWC Brisbane International Women's Day

CWC Brisbane are hosting an International Womens Day at Newstead Studios.

CWC Brisbane are hosting an International Womens Day event.

Members and non-members are invited to come together for a relaxed evening of connecting, sharing stories and Q & A!

The evening will feature speakers, Georgia Cannon (Interior Designer - www.georgiacannon.com) and Lyndel Miller (Visual Stylist - www.lyndelmiller.com) reflecting on particular points within their career journeys where they've felt compelled to regain focus and tune in to their goals - because we all know how easy it is to get distracted! There will be time for Q & A after both speakers, as well as mingling before and afterward! PLUS we have 5 truly amazing lucky door prizes to be drawn on the night.

Drinks (yes, inc vino) and light refreshments will be provided, so all you have to do is bring your wonderful self, and enjoy the evening - we'd love to meet you there!

NGV Design Week Panel Event

Socially Aware by Design: Building successful values-led small businesses

In conversation with female creative industry leaders and Certified B.Corp companies, the panel discusses what it means to build and lead a values-aligned small creative business; the benefits of being socially aware and humanising the workplace; what defines a B.Corp, and; models to influence conscious change.

What this event aims to cover:

1. What it means to build and lead a values-aligned small business in today's economic landscape

2. How being a socially aware small business can benefit the business itself, the customer/client, the world

3. What defines a BCorp and what certification entails/the Certification process

4. How this model (or similar non-certified structure) suits and supports small businesses

Presented by Creative Women’s Circle featuring Certified Australian B.Corps. This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2018, an initiative by Creative Victoria in partnership with NGV.

The CWC Marimekko Exhibition Bendigo Bus Tour and Day Trip will include:

- Travel to and from Bendigo, with prime networking opportunity to catch up with 48 of your favourite creative women

- Free To Feed lunch box 

- Marimekko Exhibition entry and tour guide introduction

- Pending time available, time and a map of 2nd hand shops in Bendigo

You will receive an excursion itinerary and a full Instagram list of your fellow attendees so you can learn from, support and potentially hatch plans for future collaborations while you're on the trip!

We’re very excited, not just the exhibition, but the 2 hour, each way, bus chats and bus bake off!
