Eirian Chapman was recently commissioned to design and illustrate Melbourne poet Emilie Collyer’s collection of poetry entitled Your Looking Eyes. Emilie wrote this collection whilst a ‘Poet in Residence’ at c3 Contemporary Art Space (part of the Australian Poetry Café Poet Program). Her poetry focuses on the small, beautiful and sometimes dark details of everyday life and Eirian really wanted that to be reflected in the design, keeping the book small, printing it using RISO for a textured look.
