On the other side of town, Magdalena is getting ready to open Betty's Place with a great concept: it's a 'studio apartment' themed shop! So if you produce quilts, clothing, illustrations, prints, jewellery and general gifts... basically anything that you'd expect to find if you walked into a stylish, environmentally conscientious, 30-something gals place, get in touch with Magdalena with pics and info.
The lovely girls at Harvest Workroom are looking for studio mates! There are two desks available from November and one from December. Imagine working amongst all that creatively in their little pocket of East Brunswick. Contact Lara/at/harvesttextiles.com.au for more info.
Grace Camobreco (one of the interviewees in the book) has been working on a fun studio project with her team behind the scenes - an exhibition called ReVamp. It's a selection "revamped" works created as part of the design concept development process. The exhibition is viewable online until the end of the week here and you can buy any of the prints on display (though it is hard to pick a favourite!).
