Member news

Miss Kish are currently transitioning their brand to ‘Kish+Co’. To celebrate, they are showcasing the artwork of 30 Melbourne based artists from various disciplines (jewellery makers, glass and sculpture artists, painters, photographers, digital illustrators) at a special event on the 12th August 2011, from 6pm onwards at our studio. It promises to be a great night to enjoy art, design, good food, wine and networking opportunities. For more information contact Karishma.

For two months, Young Republic’s online community has empowered Australia’s upcoming and emerging talents. They have continuously uncovered and showcased a unique combination of designers and artists for stylish, eco-conscious consumers. To celebrate they will be hosting an event at Sydney’s exquisite Aurora Bar on Tuesday the 12th of July. Transforming the upscale venue into a luminous night market, guests are invited to admire and purchase a fantastic range of designer pieces from Young Republic’s stable of talented makers. Nicole is volunteering her promotions and organisation skills for an amazing charity event coming up in September called Body Canvas. They are currently on the call out for models. Are you game?

Forbes magazine has released it’s list of the Top 100 Webites for Women. Some interesting entrepreneurial, technology-focused and mama blogs are included, but not much Australian content :(

Here’s a short interview with Designer Rugs’ inhouse designers, Lia Pielli and Christine McDonald, from the DQ blog (via @aliceblackwood). It makes me want to know more about this duo!
