What is your professional or training background? Applied and fine arts degree from monash, grad dip sec. art teaching and a life time of small courses and making things J

What do you make, create or do?  in.cube8r was born out of a pure love and passion for all things HANDMADE

in.cube8r offers a platform to anyone who makes anything by hand.

We take zero commission on sales.

We offer the space for makers to trial a handmade product against the general public 6 days per week, thus giving them sound feedback on the viability of their items.

Artists lease display starting from as little as $21.00 per week. We've had year 11 students right through to 82 year old grandmothers.

We have everything from paintings to jewellery, ceramics and glass, recycled items like journals made out of old vinyl records and belts made out of bike tires.

We always have around 90 participants on display thus the range of handmade goods under the one roof is second to none and compares to our largest makers markets.

We have a fun contemporary angle with the opinion that craft is the new black.

What other creative areas would you like to explore as a side-project to your current work, or move into full-time?

I'd like to have more time to blow glass, glass is my true passion

What skills do you have that help you run your business, or what skills would you like to develop?

I learn something new everyday. NEIS helped me to start but I'm really driven to perfect and I look for new ways to polish my model daily. I'd like to find a mentor.

List five people, businesses or websites/blogs that keep you motivated and inspired, and why?

I spend 3 days a week on the net, I surf and pick up bits all over the place. There is no one place person or business in particular, I find things at random. This week it was this; http://myblackbook.free.fr the photos and colour combinations make me crazy… in a good way, like I want to turn my whole house upside down.
