Weekly round-up: interesting finds from around the web this week

Another great project is looking to be funded over at PozibleInterwoven is about beautifying public spaces and creating community connections through weaving (via @tianichillemi). (Image from the Interwoven video)

The Paper Convention Collective is coming to Melbourne. Held in November at No Vacancy gallery (a former CWC event venue!), there will be workshops and talks and hopefully not too many paper cuts. Details at Desktop (via @spin_spin).

I am not the world's best baker. I can follow a recipe, but I've always suspected there is more to a great cake than what is written on the page. This week Broadsheet picked the brains of three local cake-baker experts (Emma of Cakes of our Lives, Angie of Caaaake! and Noela from the CWAA) to get some top cake-baking tips. I feel like a better baker already!

Another delicious online bookshop for designers: Beautiful Pages (via @notesfromafurther).

Do you like seeing how and where other people work? A lot of people do! This week @jenclarkdesign and @galmont both shared links to some new sits peeking into workspaces around the world - Creative Desks and  From Your Desks.

Something to ponder this weekend: Plastic is Forever (via @missbettyjo and @jennymbutler).
