Weekly round-up: interesting finds from around the web this week

Mister Mode (pictured) is an upcoming night market focusing on fashion (vintage & locally made) with a soundtrack of live DJs and music. They are currently on the lookout for stallholders and with only a few spaces remaining, now might be a good time to get in touch!

This email charter has been doing the rounds and it will be interesting to see if any of the helpful pointers take off (via @swissmiss)

Here's some cute 'blog bling' from Pugly Pixel - a downloadable set of labels for you to spruce up your blog (via @frankieandswiss).

Here's a great insight into designing a book cover for trailblazing design blog Design*Sponge - no easy feat, but the result is undeniably fabulous!

Some great ideas, thoughts and tips regarding ethical fashion at The Age (I've bought fabric from Hemp Gallery before, they're great! (via @hollabee_bianca)

This week I was blown away by the intricate quilts of Gloria Loughman, as seen on the great new 13-part Channel 31 series, Made By Hand. You can view the segment (and all the other segments throughout the season!) here.

Local journo Sarah Wilson was interviewed for the Huffington Post this week (and includes on her blog a nice little anecdote about how her relationship with interviewer Laura Cococcia came about).

I'm a big fan of sculpture/installation artist Sarah Sze's work and am loving these birdhouses which adorn the sides of New York's Highline.

Whip-up has compiled a fabulous list of fabric design related links exploring designer processes, how-to tips and resources.

Stay warm this weekend, Melbourne! tess:)
