Weekly round-up: interesting finds from around the web this week

Renowned local retailer, blogger, and author Pip Lincolne this week posted an honest account of what’s like to be an author and independent bookseller, up against bohemoth book retailers. Craft Victoria‘s Public Programs are always useful, no matter what stage your creative business is at. On May 16 they will present ‘Intellectual Property – How to protect your craft’. The presentation will discuss common areas of intellectual property and how they may be relevant to your area of creativity. You can sign up at the Craft Victoria website.
Former CWC speaker Jessie Fairweather is documenting her creative process in preparation for an upcoming exhibition on her blog. It’s facinating to see how other creatives conceive of their works and sort through ideas and inspiration.

Clare from Women in Business asks us THAT question: Should you quit your job to work full time on your business? Her personal answer reassures us that even though there are always so many factors to consider, all can be reevaluated as businesses grow or change direction.

Have a great weekend!
