Image from Behind Ballet by Lynette Wills

Do you visit the Australian Ballet’s Behind Ballet blog? It’s always full of interesting articles. Recently they shared these behind-the-scenes images of the design and set building for their upcoming show Romeo and Juliet. Love the tiny to-scale models.

Shop advice from a sassy seller, over at Etsy’s Handmade Spark blog.

Interesting thoughts on the power of branding over at Taylor & Grace‘s blog (and I’m loving their design work for the Cleveland Film Festival too!).

The full shortlist for (inside) magazine’s Interior Design Excellence Awards has now been announced. You can see the full shortlist, organised by category, here. (Via @desktopmag)

The Firstdraft Emerging Arts Writers Program has been developed to provide support for emerging arts writers in Australia and to generate structured opportunities for critical dialogue surrounding contemporary art practice. Firstdraft aims to encourage excellence in arts writing practice and increase professional development opportunities for emerging arts writers through a process of mentorship and the provision of remunerated publishing opportunities. Applications for 2012 close 6.00pm Friday 12 August 2011. For further information and to download an application form visit Firstdraft here. (via Australian Design Unit).

Have you visited Craft Victoria’s new members-only online site Craft Work yet? It is packed full of information, presentation notes and interviews with craftspeople from around Australia. If you’re a Craft Victoria member I highly recommend you log on.
